GOG is competing with Steam to dip me in candy.

A ton of classic EA and EA-owned-Origin games - Alpha Centauri, all the Wing Commanders, Dungeon Keeper, all the Ultimas, the two-pack of Crusader, Syndicate.... All $2.39 each. There's some stinkers in there (Populous cannot have aged well, and Ultima 8 and 9 were always... kind of something. And the original Wing Commander was awesome but, again, can't have aged well. Check out Wing Commander 3 for Mark Hamill chewing scenery with Ginger Lynn, Malcolm McDowell, and Thomas F Wilson, though) but there's no requirement to buy the whole pack.

Ultima 8 and 9 do not exist. The series ended with "Serpent Isle" (and might I add that I have all of them downloaded from GOG and they work like a DREAM). Also note that, for the old-school adventure game crowd, GOG also features the entire Quest for Glory series!

Ultima 8 and 9 totally exist. They're just mislabelled.

Yes, their proper names were "Horseshit masquerading itself as part of the series that defined your childhood I & II".

Enjoying QfG, and I got my Zork on too. I don't know if anyone else actually liked Nemesis, but I LOVED it.

... I should see if they have Under A Killing Moon.

Wot, Populous (with Promised Lands expansion) still rocks! I played that one with Amiga emulator fairly recently, and still as much fun as it was!

Picked up VTM: Bloodlines from Steam last week and just did the unofficial patch to 8.4 yesterday. Looking quite smooth.

The problem I have with GOG is that they don't have Alien Crossfire, and I want my Aki Zeta-5.

While I tend to avoid Amazon unless there are zero other options, it seems they can put you in touch with people who have the game with the expansion? Or there's The Laptop Collection.

Beyond that, you can set up a watch on eBay?

The problem I have is that AC won't run of my laptop, I already own it. Windows 7 does not play well with the disc.

Back when I was young and foolish, I played all the way through Wing Commander 3 on my housemate's PC. It was entirely worth it for the gag outtake in the credits. I may replay it just to experience that again.

But yes, this sale has many, many awesome games for the price of a coffee (a good coffee, anyway).
Personally, I'll recommend MDK2 for those who aren't familiar with it. The first is okay, but you can quite happily skip it in favour of the second, which is brilliant.

Ginger Lynn...? As in porn starlette Ginger Lynn? Because that's all kinds of awesome.

I've no idea what you're talking about. It's a nuts and bolts tale of a greasemonkey in a slippery situation. She takes some hard stuff from the other characters, but manages to keep her spirits up. In the end, she's satisfied with what she gets, but always ready for more action.
