Oh holy crap, The Humble Bundle does THQ.

Donate anything you want (1$ or more), get Darksiders, Metro 2033, Red Faction Armageddion, Company Of Heroes, and two CoH sequels. Donate more than $5.56 (the current average donation), get Saints Row 3, which is also known as "Grand Theft Auto Complete Insanity".

So: For $6, get 6 games, two of which I know are excellent because I have played them and several more that look good[1] and A BUCK A GAME.

[1]: I did not like Company Of Heroes and thus have not played the sequels. However, many reviews disagree with me, and even dropping those from the list leaves you with two great and one good-looking game.

Is it possible ...

To donate and get the games to someone else?

In past indie bundles, I seem to recall being able to get a gift code to send the stuff to someone else over Steam. If nothing else, you could donate a dollar, see if they give you a gift code, and then raise your donation to whatever you meant to do after that.

There is a gift code option at the bottom.

Saint's Row and Metro 2033 are the really neat ones.

Good to know, Metro is the one I was wondering about.

Metro is kind of linear setpiece shooter, like the Half-Life games, but it's pretty as hell and awesomely atmospheric. For $1, OH HOLY CRAP.

Saw that, could do, and probably will, thus adding half a dozen games to my stable of "Games I have had access to on Steam for a year or more and never played once."

Bought and downloading. I don't much like shooters, but what the hell, why not?

So which are the excellent games, if you're discounting Company of Heroes?

Saint's Row and Metro 2033. Metro is awesomely atmospheric and a lot of fun. Like Dead Space, combined with Stalker.

Had already bought instantly for soundtracks; now I may actually play a couple of the games? (Because getting gaming laptop next week yay.)

Over at the Saints Row Mod forums, this is fairly widely regarded as a sign of THQ getting hella desperate and the prospects for SR4 not looking good.
