I've seen it spreading pretty damn far already. Would you mind simply "not complaining about it" until either it gets on TV and you adopt it wholeheartedly or it ACTUALLY starts solely being a tribal marker of something smaller than "the tribe of people trying not to be shitheads to transfolk"?

May I ask what the difference is between my complaining about it and those who are trying here to accuse me of something nefarious? Until ben_racoon noted what it might be that I found fishy, I myself wasn't even sure of why I was complaining.
