Oh that's right, when livejournal gets DOS'd all the feeds are delayed and then ALL UPDATE AT ONCE.

No wonder it's been quiet in here.

Not only that, but in talking with a rep they don't even check to see if feeds are working (as of a couple months ago), they only check when users complain about it.
