Want a free, legit, full copy of Adobe's CS2 Suite?

Apparently Adobe is tired of keeping the licensing servers alive for the legit CS2 users, so they're just giving it away for free to everyone.

EDIT: Whoops, not free, legit copies for everyone. More Adobe released it for free without TELLING ANYONE that it was supposed to be an honour-system perpetual key for legit owners only.

Adobe PR is preparing a statement. In the mean time, everyone who signed up for it got the same infinitely-valid license key, so if you have the key, you can install the software, honour system or not.

...And yep, it's gone down. That's what, five hours before their bandwidth went?

Their entire "my adobe account" section is down at the moment.

Adobe have *never* been any good at dealing with large amounts of traffic.

Free to everyone who already bought it, albeit on the honour system.

I'd say there's a chance they'll acknowledge the cat is out of the bag and make it free for everyone, but this is Adobe we're talking about.

Note that this was the last version with a separate Photoshop and Imageready, which is why I keep using it. Works fine in Windows 7/8 in XP compatibility mode.

Out of curiosity, what in your workflow requires the separate imageready version?

(Or is it just that you want the Imageready features quarantined out?)

I only make stuff for the web, so I'm constantly using Imageready's super cool image optimizer. Supposedly it was integrated into PS in later versions, I've tried CS3+ a couple times and was somehow disappointed in it (I don't remember specifics, sorry).

Note also that I'm not exactly a legitimate user.
