Much on rhino front! Summer before last T hit that hormone threshold where he decided that this territory ain't big enough for him and his half brother and proceeded to try to drive K out. After about half an hour of sparing and dust clouds, we said, yep, the batchelor party is over, and we opened the door to separate the two. I think T was enjoying his 'roid rage, although K would look up when we called, T would bring him back into the fray. Enguard! So I had to distract T, which I did by waving and batting about a big empty platic bag. Eeeek! Run away! They retreated indoors. End era of the Batchelor Herd, this is the dawn of Adulthood. Well, T and K have a good pedigree, and Tarronna has the green light to make a breeding herd, so we sent T down the 401 to Tarronna and they sent us Ms S, who is past breeding age. That was late last autumn, so we are waiting for winter to wrap up and warm weather to let them meet face to face outdoors. A suivre!
