We're really not having a good week down here. Was reading this article (http://news.sciencemag.org/scienceinsider/2013/04/us-lawmaker-proposes-new-criteri-1.html) this morning, about the newly proposed guidelines for NSF funding. Because apparently house representatives on the science committee don't know the definition of research, and we should know which projects are 'groundbreaking' and only fund those. Which is completely possible, assuming they have a time machine stashed somewhere. Bah.
