I was once employed in the kitchen of my college as part of my work/study plan. We made mashed potatoes (proper mash; it was delicious). Before we put it out I sculpted it into a beautiful flat topped mountain and put a tiny little sign on a toothpick saying "This is important. This means something."

Nobody got it. I was sad.
