This extremely unhappy tiger kitten is being used for science
. Specifically, at the DC Zoo they throw the kittens in the pond to see if they sink.

If the kitten sinks, it is deemed too stupid to be trusted on it's own in the tiger exhibit. If it floats, they let it into the exhibit unsupervised.

This is a very important test, because if the kitten falls in the pond and sinks *while in the tiger exhibit*, they can't go get it. (There are tigers in there.)

Bandar floated. And complained about it.

Of course, if it floats, they then prick it with needles to see if it's a witch.

Few tigers weigh the same as a duck. Especially if the tiger and duck are in close proximity, the tiger will soon weigh more than the duck.

Actually, tigers are excellent swimmers.
And they do not have human facial expressions, what with not being human and all.

Most of them are. And yet, the kittens still get a swim test before being allowed to swim where they can't be easily pulled out.
