So, anyone know why every livejournal page is now trying (and failing, natch) to run some script hosted on surfingbird.ru? Googling suggests it's some Russian equivalent of Google Analytics?
Been having issues with LJ pages never finishing loading for a couple of weeks now.
(Firefox)
Also, when I look at the Console I get: Given URL is not permitted by the application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.
As mentioned above, some people have been having the problem for several weeks now (I first saw it mentioned here almost a month ago, one of the few places you can still actually talk at an LJ person; sometimes they'll even reply!), but it's only just hit me in the past couple days. Adblocking surfingbird.ru doesn't do anything for me, unfortunately.
Sooo... after finally getting pissed off enough to do more than a cursory fucking with it, I found that the problem is not Livejournal directly (for once). The cause is Adblock, and the " /adfox. " filter, not the surfingbird one. Since they're an ad-pusher, this also gets blocked by the " ://ads. " filter, at least on my end. Disabling the first filter, and adding an " @@adfox " exception, stops the infinite loading.

And LJ at least seems to be aware of it, and they claim it's an Adblock/Firefox thing. I don't use Chrome, but I assume it would be the same there.
