theweaselkingTed Nugent was supposed to play a show at a casino in Idaho. Being a casino outside Nevada, it's owned by a Native American tribe.
The SPLC noticed and called for comment. The managers paused and said "WHO is playing? WHAT?"
Unspoken: the booking agent is fired.
Spoken: Nugent isn't playing.
"The Nuge", for the record, wears a fake indian feather headdress on stage, refers to the President as a "subhuman mongrel", thinks it would be better if the Slavers hadn't lost The Slaver's Rebellion, and insists that the Washington Filthy Savages team name isn't racist (or at least isn't worth complaining about). He refers to natives who object to it as "numbskulls beating a politically correct war drum", having "ruffled feathers", "call me Crazy Horse, but...", "[x thing] is the REAL trail of tears", and that complainers are "wafting away the smoke signals of REAL distress"
Upon hearing that his show had been cancelled, Nugent reportedly replied that the tribe were "unclean vermin".
