They lost me when they got to the sticky piston. Aren't those things only supposed to pull the adjacent block back? How is it pulling two blocks at once?

Also: ComputerCraft Mod kind of makes this a bit less impressive since I can already have all that with like 4 blocks.

I disagree that a modded magic box makes a piece-by-piece representation any less impressive. One could make a mod that includes a Turing Machine in a single block, but that wouldn't make this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X21HQphy6I) any less impressive.

Sticky pistons can normally only pull one block. However in this case the green block that is being pulled is the new slime block, (snapshot 14w02a.)
The slime block is also sticky, so it can pull one block with it.

What that article doesn't convey is the SHEER NOISE of this system. It operates with a horrific clattering roar. It's sort of awe inspiring, in a "Oh god don't get my fingers caught in it" sort of way. Pistons are... yeah.

And then you open your web-browser in another window while this is running, minecraft hiccoughs, some of your pistons get out of sync, and your drive crashes :)
