Guard from memorial was member of the SD&G Highlanders, almost certainly one of these two men:
(shot taken by tourist about 60s before shooting started). New York Times is reporting him dead, but they're stupid and in the wrong country. Current local news says alive in critical condition at hospital.
One nut with a gun, governments panic, terror wins. I suspect this will be milked for a justification for increased surveillance and arbitrary incarceration on suspicion of wanting to be a lethal nuisance.
