As the article points out, it's not even that much more expensive - $5.60 instead of $4.80.
And that's actually *less* of an increase than most other costs in Denmark - if it had the same cost-of-living difference as the average, it would cost Danes $6.25.
That said, the most interesting part of this article to me is that it is _not_ enforced by minimum wage laws. It's enforced by union agreements, which Americans have decided are almost certainly mob-related or maybe the devil.
But as the article also points out "The fast-food restaurants here are also less profitable than their American counterparts". Putting people's well-being ahead of profit is just not the way things should be done.
