I see your webcomics and raise you a Star Trek spoof, Ensign Sue Must Die. It recently reached its conclusion and it can also be purchased in dead tree format.

I was initially suspicious it was just going to be a Sue-mock, but I have now concluded that she is awesome and highly entertaining. :D

(ETA: Awh, damn. The entire second series so far is almost entirely her not-on-screen, and killing off an in-series stand-in for her. Thanks for the first one, though. :) )

All is not over for Ensign Sue. Much will change. Redemption figures large in her future.

Perhaps you would accept Sketchbook Twilight as a consolation prize for having slogged half way through Ensign Sue? In this on going story, alternate universe Twilight Sparkle is trapped in a pocket universe, a sketch book, with no way out. It is fantasy with more than a touch of science fiction. The downside is that it's on Tumblr, but the author soon mitigated the shrinking of the comic panels by stacking them vertically.

It wasn't a slog! I liked most of it. (I'm not sure what she needs to be redeemed from, though...?)

Will check Sketchbook Twilight after the trip.

Hmm, my marvelous fogging synapses are happily flushing my recall down the loo... (It makes everything old new again! *confetti*) At first she was mostly annoyingly upbeat with a heavy dose of invulnerability and the ability to twist reality. Then she got sidelined while her alter-selves led the Trek/Who/Holmes teams on a merry chase across the dimensions. Then her alter-selves took over the Trek-verse with an intention to melt it down and re-forge it à la latest Khan-Trek movie... and somehow she was key to whichever way this was to play out.

Long story short, I think you're right, there was nothing she needed to be redeemed from. ^_^

Arrivederci!
