It was a sting: the clients of his home appliance service company complained that he was incompetent and unprofessional, so the CBC set up cameras and called him in, and he was incompetent and unprofessional above and beyond the abysmal standards of most CPC (non-communist) candidates.

This topic came up earlier, and it's really kind of a metaphor for Conservative parties the world over, you know?

They convince you to let them into your home claiming that they're gonna fix something that's broken, and then as soon as your back is turned they piss in your coffee mug. For laughs.

Gee, it's almost as if there's something *systemic* wrong with the party, in that it only seems to attract or promote cruel, petty, and stupid people who lack all empathy.

On the up side at least your Tories expel people pretty damn quick even in battleground seats, gods knows what our lot'd have to do for Cameron to actually have the guts to throw someone out.

Also, even the producers of the show didn't know who he was and got him purely as he's crap at his job not his political involvement. That's class.

Extreme message discipline has been the major thing keeping the CPC(non-communist) in power. Between an extreme muzzling of anything approaching their true opinions and Lib/NDP supporters being bad at math, it's kept them in power.

But one of the ways they keep their candidates from expressing their true opinions is by *hammering flat* any candidate who shows what the CPC(non-communist) members are really like when they think the microphone is off.
