14-yo Muslim student suspended, arrested, and charged with a crime for making a homemade clock and showing it to his teachers.

Because, of course, that's Tinkering While Brown, and the cowardly bigots of MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas decided that since their 9th grade student wasn't white, he must have built a bomb.

This situation was utter bullshit. We evacuate when a bomb threat is called in. There was no evacuation.

Keep in mind this particular situation might have had something to do with the boy being brown, but the Texas School system is very keen on crushing as many students as it can.
Kermit, Texas: A fourth grade boy in Odessa, Texas has been suspended from school for making a terroristic threat. He told another boy that he had a magic ring (his father bought him the One True Ring from The Hobbit) and could make him disappear. Feb of this year. They actually have a grudge of some sort against this kid, they suspended him for bringing a book to school, too.

It would seem Texas is quickly joining the ranks of your favorite pinata states: Ohio and Florida.
Ohio: 10 year old suspended for making a gun with his fingers last March.
Florida: 8 year old boy suspended for exact same thing in Oct 2013.

Worth noting, they have claimed they didn't think he made a bomb, they thought he'd made *something that was meant to look like a bomb*, for the purpose of leaving it somewhere and freaking people out.

It's still racist bullshit by stupid people, of course, but their claim is that they knew it wasn't a bomb, they thought it was supposed to be MISTAKEN for a bomb.
