To be fair, ballet is generally not known as a contact sport—even if it is (http://breakingmuscle.com/sports/classical-ballet-an-art-or-a-sport) one—and brain injuries are not thought of an occupational hazard for dancers.

On the other hand, I'd say the physical demands in agility, endurance, and coordination (both in body control and in group coordination) just blows the demands for an American footballer out of the water.
