That imbed is probably JS dependent as all I see is a jiggling glyph in a big grey box. Perhaps you have a link?

This brings to mind an nice article on bandwidth bloat and the advert bubble which you may have read (it was linked to by Supergee the other day).

It is a vine, which is Javascript-dependent. I've added a link to the site on Vine itself to the original post.

I strapped on ad-block, turned off cookies, held my nose and took the plunge. Wouldn't load. Vine wants your cookies too. Refreshed with cookies back on. At least it loaded fast. Have fun with my very meager data, Vine! 8^D Now I have Vine cooties X^D Oh wait. =^/

Cool how fast that brick of cotton candy dissolved! Thanks for the link. ^_^

You're welcome. Cool isn't it? ^_^ I expect web advertising to experience a dot com crash but that the resource hogging and the surveillance will continue.

I think the advertising is the Trojan horse used to prevent users and site operators from balking at the surveillance; if it were "naked", there would be more outcry.

Yes, directed, local advertising in a very wide distribution medium being the key argument for tracking everyone's activity.
