It's the exact same policy that's been the official Catholic Church policy for two thousand years, that they've been caught enforcing over and over and over and over and over again, every time. This is just ONE MORE CASE of history's largest continous criminal conspiracy to conceal child rape being ONCE AGAIN caught conspiring to conceal child rape.
One wonders, at what point will "good Catholics" ever stop supporting, defending, and celebrating child rapists? And the answer is, clearly, never. At no point, ever, will any Catholic EVER take meaningful action to stop any other Catholic from raping a small child. And that's clearly and unambiguously how the Catholic Church wants it.

Who? Ah, Anatrella. Standard statement by the Vaitcan in response.. This is actually a public outing of ecclestiacal political infighting in the works. Ever since Francis set up the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors, the Congregation for Bishops has been digging in their heels and fighting the pontifical administration. The pontifical administration wants to change things; the Congregation for Bishops wants to keep everything under the same wraps they did during JP2 and Benedict. The equivalent fight in US politics would be between the President's Cabinet administration and Congress. While Francis has been attempting to stack the Congregation for Bishops with new blood to clear out the JP2/Benedict adherents, it's been a slow uphill fight. This and the attempt to remove Peter Saunders from the Pontifical Commission for the Protection of Minors are attacks against Francis by the CoB.
And all of this, by the by, is part of the fight currently going on that started with the Synod on the Family. I predict this fighting between the Old Guard and Francis' Liberals will be going on for a number of years.
