So that's where all my snow went. It took me like ten minutes to shovel out my drive (with a real snowfall it would have been at least three time longer) and then it didn't even rain all day, like it was supposed to. So I went to McDonalds and bought ponies. Ha!
Also, having checked the googles: Your record, all-time, is 21 inches in a *month*. With a winter average of 0.0 days of 10+" snow (meaning, the vast majority of your winters never have 10" snow days), and 0.7 days per year of 5-10" snow. You average 0.1 days per winter - meaning, 1 day every *10 years* - of greater than 10" of snow accumulation on the ground.
I spent (literally) about 12 hours driving through it (airport to downtown and back again) and I found it strangely ... well, not quite pleasant, but okay.
The key, I think, was to zen out and drive really slowly, knowing that it was better to arrive at all than to fail to arrive on time. Without exception (this time; there have been exceptions on other Snow Days), my passengers were in agreement.
Also, I found myself emotionally bonding with my van. But I didn't have to do any shovelling.
If I could, I'd take at least half your snow. This winter we had maybe 10cm overall (and it's way too warm: not enough consecutive days with freezing temperatures, so the mosquitoes didn't die off as they should (which needs ~2 weeks of frost) and are already breeding), which's kinda boring.
The snow sports people here in southeast Michigan would take that if they could. Came home from my only trip to Vegas a few years ago to have a few feet to shovel, took me two days.
Down on the south side of the Fresh Seas, we got 18 inches (5.334e+8 nanometers). Certainly a big storm, and what made it worse is that it rolled in about about an hour and a half before commute time. There weren't civic travel advisories, and quite a few people got stuck on the roads for many hours as the snows piled up.

It was bad.
Remember to breathe!
