Uh, aren't we ignoring that GOT has problems with sexism?

I wasn't.

But I seriously doubt that any actor gets to change that, especially one where it was her very first role and she was 13 when it started.

Are you actually blaming Maisie Williams for GoT's shitty writing?

Nope, it's just a bit ironic that our feminist actress is on a show for which gratuitous nudity is required and sexual assault is standard operating procedure. I do watch it as part of a small group of friends, but if it was up to me I'd rather spend my time on shows which can treat their female characters with respect.

Maisie sounds like a bright young woman, hopefully her future endeavors will be on shows with better writers.

I've given up on Game Of Thrones for pretty much exactly that reason: There's very clearly two sets of writers, and even the showrunners have complained about HBO foisting the more-rape set on them.
