This captures quite a bit of the 'we're fighting but we're still friends' aspect of that movie, and the face-pealing bemusement of what? Another Spiderman reboot??
#1: We clearly see that Peter already has his powers, his webbing, his costume (provided by Tony Stark!), etc. So hopefully we won't get an origin story.
#2: It's NOT MADE BY SONY. After making like 5 absurdly awful spiderman movies in a row, getting them panned, and barely making back their investment (and, for a superhero movie that's supposed to generate billions in tie-ins, TANKING) Sony have realised the error of their ways and essentially rented Spiderman back to Marvel. They're not willing to lose the movie rights (hence an awful Sony spiderman movie happening every few years) but they've finally realised that they *can't* make Marvel Movie Money off them, so they've hired Marvel to do it for them.
Two bad things about the new Spiderman movie:
#1: It pushed Captain Marvel back to 2019
#2: It stars Mayonnaise Spiderman, Peter Parker, instead of Real Spiderman, Miles Morales.
#1 Oh yes please! It's the thought of rehashing the whole origin/goblin arc for the third time (!) that has me rolling my eyes. With Stark financing his studies, this Spiderman won't be dirt poor and at the mercy of J. Jonah Jameson this time around. (BTW, J Jonah Jameson was in MLP:FIM yesterday, although he wasn't looking for pictures, pictures of Spidermare.)
#2 the 2nd: I picked up issue #300 Spiderman back in the late 80's but dropped it again soon after. It's Spiderman 2099 I'm reading. It's probably too much to hope that Marvel won't make a dog's breakfast of the storyline again.
