I have seen this ad in the wild! I used to work in a lab where we worked with tissue cultures, and it appeared in one of the periodicals that was delivered to our department.
It was actually a two page spread - the first page showed a mouse sitting at the base of the machine, the second page had the mouse replaced by a glass container of pink slurry.
I've seen it in general science magazines as well - my hosemat used to have a subscription and she was so tickled she added it to the clipping board we had. (It was next to an ad : "Want your backups to be interesting and exciting?" that had NO! scrawled on it with texta)
