In Vermont, 48 towns voted last night to condemn the war in Iraq and bring the National Guard of Vermont home. 3 towns have voted against the motion, and 3 have tabled it for later discussion.
Vermont has lost more soldiers per capita than any state, and has the second highest mobilization rate for its National Guard and reservists.
