Palm Beach Post: "Are you sure? Because we have what appears to be exactly that video, right here."
Pentagon: "Oh, that video. Right. Well, we know nothing about it!"
Video made by US soldiers shows them kicking a bound and injured prisoner in the face, posing corpses for the camera, and more.
Army documents quoted a soldier at the scene as saying he "thought the dude eventually died. We weren't in any hurry to call the medics."
Documents released by the Pentagon showed that Army criminal investigators looked into the matter and decided no criminal charges were warranted against the soldiers. Documents showed that the Army deemed the actions shown on the video "inappropriate" rather than criminal.

And that last, of course, is why all those soldiers in Iraq *keep* killing the helpless, why they keep shooting the civilians and the prisoners, and why they all insist that their brutalisation of the locals is done on orders and with approval: BECAUSE IT IS.
