A love story and wedding vows, BMEZine-style.

In case you don't know, that's BODY MODIFICATION E-ZINE, meaning that the pictures and the story are freaky and the people are a special kind of fucked up. It's work-safe, I suppose, but probably not lunch-safe.

Holy lord.

I... wow. A special kind of fucked up indeed. I don't think I'd care enough about someone to amputate a joint to show it.

Also... shouldn't they hit a hospital, get a professional opinion on those? Exposed bone and nerve endings suck. Hard.

I think so. I'm still trying to get over the biting them off. Eugh. Filthy. Not hygenic, dammit. Not at all. (Yes, I realize it may technically be an April Fools' thing. Largely irrelevant, really, which in itself leads to some odd thoughts...)

On the other hand, "when my hand is feeling a little better and I can work with it again I’m going to skin them and make a pair of amulets so we can each wear each other’s ring finger bones as necklaces" is sweet, in that kind of "I took the ashes of my dead lover and worked them into the wound for this scarification I had done" kind of way. Makes me regret not grabbing the human-fingerbone or bat-skull-and-emerald earrings at Morbid Tendancies.

I'm going to go dig up "Ringfinger" now. Seems just too too appropriate.

It's BMEZine.

It's not an unusual article for them.

Well, given that I’m a regular visitor, I feel like I can distinguish between not unusual and “not unusual”, as in this case. You missed the satire.

Okay. I was certainly shocked by the "biting" aspect, but, really, the concept of cutting off a chunk of finger doesn't seem that far out for them.

Add to that the statement about swimming in the ocean to keep it clean - that's yikes-worthy in a lot of ways, too, but, again, it seems WEIRD, but not out of the question once you realise its BME and we've already accepted the cutting-off-fingers part of it.

Apart from that, what is there that's supposed to indicate humour?

Addendum: This is not to say I don't believe you. I'm just curious about what I'm missing that should give it away as "fake" and not "scary and involving bizarre delusions, but true" - since, as the rest of the internet can show you, scary and involving bizarre delusions really isn't unusual.

Well, it’s true, it could be real. But that’s what makes it so delicious?

The photos themselves gave it away, partly, easily faked. Also, this text:
Plus, he’s been previously married, and I wanted to make sure that it wasn’t a repeat of that relationship. I told him if he was serious about this, he had to prove it — and that I was willing to do the same.
It was just too much for me. And the gargling.

But even the idea of finger-chomping is horrifying me, so. And I know deliberate amputation happens. Gah!
