We had an election today. The competition was between the party that nobody *trusts* to keep their promises, and the party that nobody *wants* to keep their promises.

The rabid leftist socialists, coming in no less than *fourth* place out of five (And the fifth got one single seat out of 308), are possibly in the strongest position of any of the opposition parties. Worse, this is actually the *best* possible result, given the other two.

I don't think ANYBODY won this one.

I don't vote. The reason is that I believe that the governing body of my country has a responsibility to provide me with at least *one* candidate that represents my interests, and can be trusted with my social investment. Since I have yet to see such a person in the 9 years since I gained the right to vote, I don't vote.

I would have preferred another Liberal majority to the result we got.

This is an acceptable second-place, even if it's not going to last.

I'm going to hold my opinion till I see which party ends up sleeping with whom.
