So, which American politician said these?

"They can't solve the budget because they have no balls,"
"Speaking out about your government is healthy and wholesome. ... Don't go along to get along."
"I dress like this to look like Jack Sparrow"
"Make all the love you want, just use a condom. ... If it feels good, do it; I did."
"I am a sexual tyrannosaurus. Just ask the First Lady."

And why isn't he President, again?

There's something to be said for putting non-politicians in political positions. If nothing else, they dress cool.

I don't think that it's good to have people become professional politicians ... especially if they have no training in law or at least philosophy.

i can see the need for law training, but philosophy can be learned through life... i mean Ventura has had a pretty full life.

ALso, i think what the US Presidency needs more than anythign else now is someone with common sense and balls...

You're right about learning philosophy through life, but it is the case that philosophy majors score better on the LSAT than people with other undergraduate majors. I would venture (ha!) that the reason behind this is that, primarily, law is the dissection of arguments and the construction of as bullet-proof as possible arguments; this is what philosophers are trained to do, at least in the western tradition.

um.. as much as i find it impressive a man who can millitary press a 250+lbs man and throw him across a ring... the Warrior is in now way someone i would want as president or vp. For VP... it would be good to have soemone with experience in Washington.

or hcekc.. he doesn't need a VP.. just a Vizier .)

I would say Ventura/Schwartzenegger 2008 for teh win, but I'm not sure Arnie can be VP.

Funny, tho.

yeah, but i think he just needs someone behind him that is good with law, because we really need a president that will just get things done. Not to mention he has been Govenor, so he's not that green to politics.

I'd vote for him, if I thought voting actually mattered. I'm getting cynical.

I just don't think it matters how we vote ... not until we get some real reform in the voting system.
