Keith often gets questions about the extras on his truck, and suspicious stares and accusations when he tries to explain. But most people arrive at their own conclusions once they see it.
This sort of mod for cars was common in occupied Europe during WWII, and I think wood was the most commonly used fuel for them. (At least in Norway. Probably depended on what was easiest to get in the particular locale.)
