So I guess in this context "repossessing" means recovering stolen property?

Who goes to steal a truck with his two-year old daughter? My Lord...

No, "repossessing" means that you're behind on your payments and the company who is fronting your loan takes your vehicle away, and resells it to recoup their losses on your nonpayment.

Think of it as "foreclosing" on a car or boat. "Repo men" come and take your car, usually stealthily because lots of people get really, really angry with them.

They charged the right person, at least. This guy makes deadbeat dads look like candidates for Father of the Year.

"Brown, 42, of Dayton, Ky., was charged with endangering a child, receiving stolen property and illegally transporting weapons. Police said stolen license plates and three loaded guns were found in the truck"

so... not only was he stupid enough to leave a 2 year old un-attended in a vehicle, he was stupid enough to have guns and stolen property in a car he failed to make payments on.. sweet! another person i hope soon gets a Darwin Award...
