Chris Candido is dead,
from complications of a badly broken leg suffered in a match last Sunday.
He was 33.

Those were some serious complications from a broken leg.
Sounds like malpractice, to me.

Did you see the break? I didn't, but it *was* live on TV. The description "he broke his fibula and tibia and dislocated his ankle" is apparently um, understated.

Other news outlets have cause of death listed as a blood clot breaking loose.

Which seems to happen a LOT with wrestlers. My friend Noah mentioned this when we were chatting last night.

Wrestlers take a lifetime's worth of injuries every year. Combine a high injury rate with a large number of wrestlers, low pay, and little to no ability to take time off to properly recover from an injury, and I'm mostly surprised that more don't die from this kind of thing.

Probably threw a clot - either blood or marrow - very common in broken legs. That will kill you quite nicely, no malpractice required.
