I've personally witnessed -- though not photographed -- BIOS screens on quite a few kiosks (some of them even by design -- the internet kiosk that our local ex-monopoly telco tried popularising a few years back included in the vandal-proof keyboard a key marked reset which actually led to the hardware reset of the 486/P1 they were using, with IIRC 64 MB ram, an ISDN card, a 420 MB hard drive, and modified w9x-with-netscape-4-as-shell, in rotated-portrait-mode (the bios screen came on it rotated 90 degrees), for example), I've seen windows error boxes on ATMs as well as the video-paper of our local monopoly cable company, and I've seen bios screens on airport arrival/departure monitors.
