Few names in history are as recognizable. Fewer yet evoke such vivid images: swirling fog and ladies of the night with death personified in a cape with a bowler hat.
The faceless villian comes alive with Mezco Toyz' 10-inch Jack the Ripper roto-cast figure. Jack is fully articulated and comes complete with removable hat and fabric trenchcoat, 4 assorted knives, cleaver, handsaw, needle, uterus and medical bag that opens to store them all. To make it even more interesting, Jack is available in 2 versions: serious face sculpt and wearing a top hat, or grinning and wearing a bowler hat.

...I always saw him as having a top hat.

It's still pretty cool--oh, neat, it's the same company that does Living Dead Dolls! And apparently there's an Eliza Day coming out this year. I want to hear that song now, the one by Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue...

Is this "Eliza Day" an existing person? I've tried looking her up before, but all I get are lyrics sites for _Where the Wild Roses Grow_ and the occasional genealogy site (and a photo of a fan touching Eliza Dushku's butt).

As far as I know, she's just the protagonist of "Where The Wild Roses Grow".

I wondered the same thing, and as far as I can tell, she isn't.

The name and story strike me as having a nagging familiarity, but the one might be imagination, and the other--well, beautiful gentle girl + deadly corrupt lover + rural setting + macabre rose-based imagery just rings all kinds of bells because of the similarities it's got to various fairy-tales.

It looks like LXG's Mr Hyde.
