Amazing isn't it? OK, it's not amazing, its depressing, but you know what I mean.

Also, don't forget the suggestions of child abuse (from gays-molest-children to the hideous tale that Jews sacrifice children for rituals), and so forth.

Okay. So what's their explanation for *why* this is? It sounds like a plus to me.

(Of course, my own conjectures would touch not so briefly on the idea that maybe you have to be well-off in order to actually *tell* right wing anti-gay morons that you are gay.)

This reminds me of the Americans complaining that all the educated people favour the use of social programs to work for the collective good. Yeah, there's a REASON FOR THAT, bucko. There's also a reason why civilised countries have a higher standard of living than your third-world theocracy.

Also, I recall someone's dissection of the "They want them to try gay sex because they will be corrupted and NEVER go back to straightness!" argument that boiled down to this: "So, you're arguing that gay sex is SO MUCH more totally awesome that everyone has incredible urges to do it, and they must never give in to those sinful urges because if they indulge normal sex will never be good enough again? Doesn't this statement tell us all a LITTLE too much about your own preferences, here?"
