The first one looks cute, but to me is, practically, useless. Nice idea, but the current table is much more immediately intuitive. But I use it all the time, so I may not be the best person to ask, from a bias standpoint. :)
As soon as I saw the white spiral, I realised how thise one works.
Of course, I prefer the greater information on the old one, but that may be a practice thing. I haven't seen a fullsize version of this one, naturally.
