*sigh* we had similar issues over 10 years ago with buffer overflows in commands and remotely-executed commands, and then in network protocols. USB drivers need to follow the same vulnerability testing as network drivers since they're externally accessible (lest we lock all USB connectors with padlocks like the type used on rotary phones!)
