Mutant kitty walks on her hands.
Best part: The journalist realises he's covering a pointless story, admits it, and also points out that he thinks this is more newsworthy than JonBenet Ramsay.
In other solar systems, even.

PS: My verdict on Firefly. Much less crappy than everything else Joss Whedon has done. The slang is still forced and awkward, although much less so than in the movie.
