Apparently Adobe is tired of keeping the licensing servers alive for the legit CS2 users, so they're just giving it away for free to everyone.
EDIT: Whoops, not free, legit copies for everyone. More Adobe released it for free without TELLING ANYONE that it was supposed to be an honour-system perpetual key for legit owners only.
Adobe PR is preparing a statement. In the mean time, everyone who signed up for it got the same infinitely-valid license key, so if you have the key, you can install the software, honour system or not.

(For people who don't speak French, those are, in order: a newspaper reporting that the first baby born in France in 2013 has two mothers, a Catholic priest telling the journalists to go back to biology classes because that baby has only ONE mother, and a French politician pointing out that nobody who believes in a virgin birth has any standing to be lecturing anyone else on biology.)
