The Deadlands Reloaded character sheet on the web at Deadlands.com is very pretty. As far actually using it in a game, though, well... let's put it this way. It's illegible, especially if you write in pencil. Black sharpie stays readable, but anything less than that means you need to squint. If you're trying to use a pencil AND you've printed the sheet in black and white, whoo boy. Stop now. You're going to go blind.

That being said, the wonderful and resourceful [livejournal.com profile] torrain has a solution: A cleaned-up version, keeping the same layout and details, but eliminating ALL the background clutter.

This sheet is spiffy. It's the same well-layed-out sensible arrangement of information, it still has all the important parts (and yes, for those of you who haven't played Deadlands, "Your Worst Nightmare" *is* a critical thing to have on the character sheet), and, most importantly, it can now be printed on paper and stays legible after it's written on.

Go right ahead. I lock all my gaming posts, but [livejournal.com profile] torrain didn't lock hers, and she did send a copy to Pegasus to see if they'd want it for their site.
