A part of me wishes I wasn't an atheist, if only to cackle at the thought of that fucker burning in hell. Ah well.

Well, even if he burns in hell, he won't know it. According to the Bible, it is the dead bodies that are burned, not an immortal spirit. In any case, I'm certainly not sad to see him go.

No, at the end of the world all the bodies reassemble and wander off to where they are going. Or something.

I don't think it was heart disease. I think he died of bochilism from all the poop he ate.

The initial word-of-mouth report I heard was that he died from a bowel obstruction, not an artery obstruction. Which led to many amusing minutes of joking about how he really did have his head up his ass etc.

The actual facts aren't as amusing.

I had read that he had serious heart problems so I assumed that's what it was. I couldn't get past the headline to read more, my hatred for the man is old and strong.
That said, the head up the ass thing, amusing.

You know, as soon as I heard the news, I found myself wondering "I wonder who'll get to use that line in an LJ entry first?"

And the runner-ups were you and [livejournal.com profile] flemco. Although later I also saw [livejournal.com profile] _constantine use it in a comment elsewhere. Natural association, true.

I was watching the "breaking news" about him being taken to the hospital, waiting for him to die (news!) or get better (not news).

Since the pineapples are allotted to Hilter, may I suggest jumping cholla cactus for Fallwell-stuffing?

A commenter in [livejournal.com profile] dark_christian wondered if he'd be treated with the same respect and dignity in his death as everyone else, and someone else responded "Fred Phelps picketing his funeral?"

That would be... meta to the point of awesomeness.

I said to my coworkers today - "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" - I agree. How fitting.

Wasn't he the one that was going to be "called home to the lord" if he didn't get enough donations?

I wonder if he got enough to pay his way into heaven.
