(For those who are going to say "but it was de-alcoholised beer!" - near-beer still has about .6% alcohol, making it about a tenth as strong as normal beer and about a fifth as strong as Budweiser, and it is strongly recommended that slobbering drunks who insist that they have no self-control in the face of alcohol, like Bush and his fellow self-defeating twelve-steppers, avoid it. And, besides, if Bush isn't drinking to the point of falling down, how do you explain his regular facial injuries, and his regular cancelling of all morning meetings after every "night off" because he's "unwell"?)

Hmm, I'm completely oblivious.. He's a recovering alcoholic? There is a big deal about him drinking beer? Or non-alcoholic beer? Inform me! Or point me in the direction of somewhere I can be informed. I don't like the guy, so I never really cared to look into him. I do enjoy all the comedy that stems from him being our president, however. But really, it's kinda embarassing, isn't it? That our own country makes fun of our own president so heavily.. The other countries must really get a kick out of it. I can't wait for Lil Bush on Comedy Central, lol.

Pretty much; you can of course get low alcohol beer in Germany. But given the way Germans react when you ask for a meat free meal, and their general attachment to beer, well, I doubt it.

I've never liked the AA approach, and think the German approach is much more healthy; I took a tour of Muenster once with a pile of American friends; the look on their faces when our tour guide (a local friend) said they built all the breweries to help reduce the alcoholism problem was classic.

It's Buckler. That's a dutch (Heineken) brand of low-alcohol beer which was taken off the local market when after a certain set of rants during the televised new-year's-one-man-show of Youp van 't Hek on Dec 31 1989 sales dropped to about 1% of what they were before.

I think at that point low-alcohol beers were still fairly new to market.

the problem i have is not that hes drinking. Hell, I'm drunk as i type this. THe problem i have, is that he is claiming to have been miraculously cured by the jeebus.
Now, maybe, maybe, a hard core alcoholic or two has been cured by the jeebus. Good for them. I am for mor elikely to believe that someone has been cured by a support structure(whatever, fuck A.A.) than by the jeebus. I am doubtful.
On top of that, fuck the drinignk, hes been FUCKING EVERYTHING UP. Winston Churchill drank half a bottle of whiskey and came up with the iron curtain meme. GW drank half a bottle and choked on a pretzel. Oh, you bought the sotry about him choking and falling over? Think about it?


THink about all of his actions, and how picturing him drunk makes them make more and more sense. The pretzel thing, how many of you know people who have gotten drunk and fallen over, vs choked on a pretzel and fallen over. How many of you would have felt up the German rime minister while drunk, go back and watch the video, watch his expression, hes fucking hammered. Any public fuckup he does makes sense while you think "Hes drunk" dosent it??? think about it.


Im gonna go have another drink. Seriousy, i wouldnt care if he was fucked up 24/7 but hes fucking the country.
