flemco
When they go and do this kind of shit, people say "I had no idea he'd do such a thing!" and "For shame! Sure, he was talking to an imaginary friend for decades and letting it control his life, an act that we actually encouraged him to keep doing, but there's a line that shouldn't be crossed!"

Once the situation has reached this level of urgency, swift and certain action is called for to prevent further harm, and there are religious people who sometimes refuse to accept that.

Okay, so as long as all the insane crazies are in lockstep about what, exactly, constitutes being "acceptably crazy" and makes sure nobody gets "too crazy," that's the beauty of religion?
Fuck that noise.
To his credit, the pastor squealed on one of his fellow crazies, all the while being crazy himself. The cops should have thrown the entire church in jail for being batshit fucking loco and dangerous.

Date: 2007-08-03 08:28 pm (UTC)You're not the first person who's suggested I should tone it down. Fuck that. I have a zero tolerance policy for stupid imaginary friends, and the time for coddling these people is fucking gone.
Do you even realize what you just asked?
My defense of sanity and rationality might be more compelling to crazy fucking idiots if I came across as being a little less rabid toward the same crazy fucking idiots.
I'm sure it would. I just don't give a fuck what crazy fucking idiots think of me, since they're, you know. Crazy. And idiots. And the idea that I should give a fuck what these morons think of reality is, in and of itself, crazy and idiotic.
