I think JTHM would be the only person who could kill a moose.

Even then, it would be a close fight. With lots of cheating.

Johnny has the advantage of Vasquez never having *seen* a moose.

Few people have seen a moose and lived to tell the tale.

When I was 6 I was in the woods and came across a bull moose. We were about 4 feet away from each other.

But how did you escape its gigantic talons? The venomous stinger on its whiplike tail?

Because I am the Moose Overlord.

If nobody ever escapes, then where do the *stories* come from, I wonder?

The moose sometimes let people live. They're cruel that way.

That's true. The few weak ones are allowed to escape, and spread stories among the populace. Then the strong hear these stories, and move in for the kill of the century, nay! ...the millennium.

And just as the moose planned: the prey that will give it the satisfaction it deserves, as king of all creation, coming of their own accord to be slaughtered like the lemmings that they are.

I wish Vasquez would do more.

Or give more interviews where he holds the interviewer in obvious and poorly-concealed contempt. Those are good.

Neat. Thanks.

(ObTangent: I woke up one day with the name "Edgar Vargas" running through my head, couldn't quite place it, and Googled it. Discovering that oh yeah, he was that guy from JtHM was not surprising.

(Discovering the amount of Edgar Vargas slash, on the other hand, was kind of surprising.)

Granted, I've read maybe five comics (issues, not runs) in my life, but damned if JTHM (which I haven't read a one of) hasn't stuck to my brain.
