How do you get to be an EX-vampire?

Well, there's the classic way, where a chap by the name of Van Helsing comes along and kills you, or there's the modern way, where a chap by the name of Blade comes along and kills you.

I have no idea how you get an ex-vampire who can still talk to people afterwards, although since they reference the Illuminati, Freemasonry, and so forth, they're probably open to using seances and talking to the dead.

Maybe you pray and god gives you back your pulse, ust like he can give you back your virginity.

Well, you have to not have sex for seven years to regain your virginity. So if you don't drink blood for seven years, do you then become mortal again?

*Of course, I'd be the evil prankster vampire, waiting six years and 363 days as someone strives toward regaining their soul and then spiking their coffee with some high test o positive, but that's probably taking the concept too far...*

srsly? you have to go 7 years? I suppose I have less of an issue if that's true. if I went 7 years, I might start to think i was a virgin again, too.

There's also the Discworld way, where you take a pledge.

...although they still call themselves vampires, so maybe that does not count.

I believe this operates on the principle of "A fool and his money are soon parted."

I was interested in a morbid manner (ha!) until I saw "Nine hours long!" as if it's a selling point.

I watched a few minutes of it and... I cannot fathom how they stretch this out to 9 hours. Also surprising: they open with old horror puzzle game music and a prayer.
