What's dangerous to a fetus is, apparently, being born to fundamentalists. They're way more likely to kill you by denying health care or because you're gay to some other lame thing.
Some days, I want to get all the atheists and agnostics I know to move to the same town -- and then start suing religious websites, broadcasts, and even CHURCHES for "violating community standards of obscenity".
Suppose I'm holding a gun. Not any gun, mind, one of those shitty older guns that can go off if it's impacted the wrong way. And then I have a muscle spasm and the gun is flung out of my hand, and it hits a wall, goes off, and kills someone. That's a crime, right?

You joke, but there was an insurance company that denied coverage for a misscarriage, terming the ER care the woman needed an elective abortion, and a Virginia law that would have made woman criminally negligent if they had a miscarriage and didn't report it.
that's because it wasn't pitched as an absurd bill. the right loves to do this: "The Democrats want to make it legal for pregnant women to smoke crack and for mobs of angry negros to kill your aged wife! Don't let this happen to you!"

HA! I'm teasing. Masturbation will never be against the rules because it's primarily thought of as men's sexuality. Yeah, sure, women masturbate too. But you can't restrict something sexual that men enjoy (so long as they're not gay).

Last time they threatened something like this on the federal level, a group of women threatened in return to mail their senators their bloody pads to prove they had broken the law and killed a baby each month... (Or at least ketchup covered pads)
I LIKE that idea! Of course I once advocated all the diabetics in town sending our DA their used syringes when she blocked implementation of the needle exchange law passed by the city council so I'm probably a tad off the base line.
