Community response is acceptable to me. If his name were included, that's more than enough to find out the address right there; if his name weren't included, the other people he deals with don't find out that they're dealing with a sociopath, which I think they deserve to know.

I would prefer a would-be vigilante need to do a little more work, a little active searching, rather than making it *so convenient* to say "hey, we've got his address already".

I can understand that, but I don't think it makes much difference to me. I don't approve of vigilanteism in general, but I do approve of community awareness and response and I come down on that side vs. privacy a lot more often than do most Americans.

Difference between 'Community response' and 'vigilantism' being?

Community response covers a wide, wide range of activities; vigilanteism is mere violence. For example, if he lives in a suburb, the families around him may not know his name, but they'll recognize the address and can take steps to warn their children to keep away from him.
