Cool, this has inspired me to toss him on the candidate list for my RPG.

Since you mention him--most MtF TSs learning feminine/female voice
begin with Marvin the Martian,
and refine it with careful practice.
Seriously.
Marvin's voice is created by dampening the resonance of the larynx,
which is the main difference between a male and female voice.

That's surprisingly awesome. Or awesomely surprising. Or both!

Thanks for the tidbit.

Other tidbits I'd like to know about: What does "MtF TSs" mean?

I'm surprised you didn't get it immediately. You've always struck me as the kind of guy who always knows what the latest letter addition to "LGBTQW" is.

No offense intended, seriously. I was simply surprised you didn't get it, like if [livejournal.com profile] rimrunner had fumbled "fluffybunny" or [livejournal.com profile] james_nicoll had come up empty on "fanon".

Ah, I see.

Your mild mockery of LGBT is, in my opinion, spot-on. The alphabet of sexual differences has always struck me as more unuseful than not, as LGB doesn't actually share a lot with T other than sympathy. Our political needs only slightly merge. John Aravosis had a very controversial Salon article about that issue several years ago, actually.

I know transsexuals exist, I feel for their plights about being recognized as the sex they wish to be recognized with, and I support political efforts on their part to get that recognition. Beyond that, I don't know much about it, because it doesn't interest me!

Big muscly gay bears getting to marry though? That interests me.

Or, really, if anyone of Our Mutual Acquantance hadn't known what "Sa'" prefixing a word meant.

Followed my nose here through a link in ysabetwordsmith's journal. Wow, that's fantastic. Hope you don't mind but I put a link to it in my journal. My journal is friends' locked so only folks I know will see the link and be able to follow it back here to this post.

One of my friends actually asked if this could be turned into an icon for her. I'm willing to do the work and attribute it to you but I didn't want to do so without your permission

Hi, and welcome in. This picture is NOT my work. I didn't draw it, and you don't need *my* permission for anything.

The picture is a link (just click it!) to the actual creator's site. He's the guy you need to ask for anything you want involving this picture - I just saw it (publicly), liked it, and reposted it.

Fair enough. Thanks for the info. Wasn't sure since it's all done under assumed screen names if that DeviantArt link might not be just another aspect of you.

Heh. The icon is done. I'm waiting to release it into the wild pending approval from the artist for using his/her artwork. I've already got a string of 3 people who want the icon when it's released.

This is what I get for being at work baby sitting a conference on a weekend.....
