(I have to say that with this show I've got like a 95% success rate on playing "guess the killer" simply by picking the only suspect played by an actor I recognise. In a "slasher movie" case? They cast ROBERT ENGLUND? I have no idea if I should go with the system or not! They are FUCKING WITH ME.)


EDIT: NOT THREE SECONDS LATER THE CHARACTER IS DESCRIBED AS "Very creepy. Like, Freddy creepy."

Yes, it's Bones, and yes, his first real scene convinved me he couldn't possibly be the killer. They hired Robert Englund and had him TURN ALL THE KNOBS TO ELEVEN with Bones being oblivious and Booth freaking out.

That is also one of my favourite episodes, solely for the Screwing With The Viewer value.

I know a lot of people don't hold Bones in very high esteem, but I love it, largely for its occasional and weird sense of humour. It is very aware that it is a TV show.

My favourite joke that I just caught is this: Bones is a fictional character in stories written by Kathy Reichs. Kathy Reichs is a fictional character in stories written by Bones.

And you GOTTA wonder how they said that line with A STRAIGHT FACE! (I saw them do it on the show "Andromeda" where someone described Kevin Sorbo's character as being "Huge! I'm mean, He was built like some sort of Greek God!" And my Mother and I both lost it completely.)

I <3 Robert England. By all accounts a really sweet guy in real life. He was great on the original V miniseries.
