what I don't understand at all:

"The Journal cited two employees--one who has left Zynga and another that still works with the company--who hired attorneys to reach a settlement that saw them give up some, but not all, of the unvested shares."

if you've left the company, why give back anything? if all they're threatening you with is termination, uh....no threat there. I'm wondering if there is more to this.

It's unvested stock. Presumably if they get fired it will never vest.
